The mixture you are using on your hair sounds great ! For the winter months try substituting the aloe vera with shea or cocoa butter. They are thicker than the gel which is great for moisturizing during the cold months. Increase the amount of water you drink to moisturize from within and cover your hair when it’s brutally cold to protect it from the harsh air.
Hiya. I’ve had my dreadlocs for almost 2 years now. Found your articles very informative and useful. At the mo, I use pure aloe vera gel mixed in with a teaspoon of natural honey, jojoba oil, olive oil and few drops of tea tree oil & rosemary essential oils. I only use natural products but my locks are still quite dry! Pls advise me especially since the British weather is coming soon!
