Healthy Lifestyle and Natural Detoxification Therapies

This is the time of year when most tend to go all wrong when it comes to diet.  Here is a good article on naturally detoxing the body.  You don’t have to be chronically ill to do these.  Sometimes they are good just to give you body a fresh start no matter what time of the year it is. Leave a comment and let me know what you think 🙂

What are some of the natural detoxification therapies that chronically ill people use to feel better and get better? Just a short list are coffee enemas that detoxify the liver by the stimulating effect of the caffeine absorbed into the liver via the portal vein system. Liver flushes and gallbladder flushes that help purge toxic bile, bile sludge, and stones out the liver’s biliary tree, common bile duct, and gallbladder (bile is the green fluid that the liver secretes onto food exiting the stomach. It is also the primary avenue for the excretion of toxic metals, chemical, and other fat soluble toxins that can make you feel sick if they accumulate to excess).

Other detox methods include bowel cleanses and probiotic and beneficial bacteria supplementation, sauna, especially ozone sauna. As well as a wide variety of homeopathic,  nutritional, and herbal detox protocols.

When people with many of the modern illnesses like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, and the numerous other “syndromes” or inflammatory and immune system problems do these and other natural therapies, they often time notice very significant improvement in their well being. Such that they may want to do these therapies over and over again or daily. At that point friends and family may start to label the behavior “neurotic” or maybe just make some other observation of concern that something is amiss. It may not be meant in a negative or derogatory way, it may be genuine love and concern. After all, they want’ there family member or loved on to have a good life and don’t understand why they have to keep “detoxing” all the time.
