It seems that olive oil, aka EVOO (thanks, Rachael Ray), is the preferred oil for cooking, salads and even desserts.  There is no denying that it is rich and flavorful.  But did know that grapeseed oil supersedes olive oil in not only cooking properties, but health benefits as well?

Grapeseed oil has been around for centuries, but seems to making a comeback in a big way as we are becoming more cognizant of saving our environment as well as watching what goes into our bodies.  Grapeseed oil is the most sustainable of oils because it is made as a byproduct of wine grapes, so it requires no farmland or water to produce.  Additionally, quality grapeseed oil is expeller pressed, which uses no chemicals in processing.  This results in a light, pure-tasting oil that is the perfect accompaniment to salads, pasta and marinades.  Unlike olive oil, grapeseed oil allows the flavor of your foods to come through, instead of tasting the oil.

  1. Hello Adrienne. If you are using the palm roll method for maintenance then it is normal to have loose hair 2-3 inches from the root. You may want to consider the interlock method (no hooks though) for a neater look for your locs. Feel free to give me a call at 678-740-3798 If you would like a phone consultation for your locs 🙂
