Rosa Acosta interview: I Didn’t Cut My Hair…It’s Falling Out !

I’ve seen so many women who are in denial about just how damaged their hair is by the perms and weaves that they wear. Some would rather be half bald with a perm than have a full head of natural hair for the world to see. This has got to STOP !  You should never be ashamed of the natural state of your hair.  I’m giving props to Rosa Acosta for recognizing the issue with her hair and choosing to go back to natural to help heal her hair. Below is a really good interview that she did for Bossip.com about the new look. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. Also share your own hair loss and regrowth stories if you have one. Peace 🙂

Rosa Acosta To Bossip: I Didn’t Cut My Hair…It’s Falling Out !

Rosa Acosta’s drastic change in her hair made us all wonder why she cut it off.  Rosa exclusively tells BOSSIP that her hair change wasn’t something she wanted to do but much rather had to do.

Check the details on the flip. Rosa tells BOSSIP that she has a hair loss problem and her hair was indeed falling out which forced her to cut it:

“I didn’t have to ask permission from anyone to cut my hair. However, due the overwhelming response I felt it was only right to address my condition. I love hair, most women do. There is certain femininity in the hair but it doesn’t stop there, it’s about your mannerisms the way you talk, the way you walk they way you carry your self. People have demanded an answer about why I cut my hair while insinuating that as if it was going to destroy me in some way. The truth is I cut my hair because my hair is falling out and has been for over a decade and I needed to began my treatments again, “says Rosa.

“I encourage other people out there with a hair loss problem to accept your reality and make the most of it. For what I do, I feel like I’m a bad bitch and I don’t need hair to make me. When I want to wear the hair I will. But for now, the most important thing for me to do is go through my treatments to make my scalp healthy which will intern give me a healthy head of hair.”

We have to give her kudos for coming out in the open about her hair falling out…some other chicks could take note and shed the extensions to embrace their true self.
